EXAMINATION OF THE COURSE
1. The Examination of the DMLT course will be conducted in terms of the provisions contained in these respective course curriculum/regulations approved by the State Government.
ELIGIBILITY FOR APPEARING IN THE EXAMINATION
1. A candidate has to secure at least 80% attendance [separately in
theoretical and Practical] for appearing in the Examinations of
DMLT course.
2. No relaxation, whatsoever, will be permissible to this rule under
any ground including indisposition etc.
CANCELLATION OF ADMISSION
The Institution shall have the right of cancellation of admission
and/or studentship of any student during the session if he/she is found
guilty of any of the following:
1. Suppression of information
2. Supply of false information
3. General misconduct unbecoming of a student
4. Adoption of unfair means at the examination
5. General indiscipline
GENERAL GUIDELINE CONCERNING THE COURSE
1. The Para Medical Institute Kohima, with the prior approval of
the State Government, shall reserve the right to alter / modify /
amend any or all the rules concerning conduction of the above
course in the Institution.
2. No hostel facilities will be available at present.
RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR ALL STUDENTS
The following rules and regulations are to be strictly adhered to by all students at the Institute. Misconduct in any form may result in strict disciplinary action, including expulsion.
Academic Requirements
1. While students are expected to complete their training on time,
those failing after three attempts in each semester may not be
allowed to continue.
2. Students will be required to purchase prescribed books.
Dress Code
1. Students should dress decently during classes/duty and maintain
personal cleanliness and neatness.
2. The students are to wear a blue apron over their regular outfit
during practical classes/duty.
Departmental Postings
1. During the compulsory rotatory Internship period, the students
are expected to perform all work assigned to them by the
supervisor of the section and follow the rules and regulations of
their respective departments. In particular, they are to adhere to
the timings of their respective departments.
2. The students are not allowed to leave their assigned areas of
duty without prior permission from the Head of the Department.
3. Following the usual hospital working schedules the students
may be assigned evening/night shift duties.
4. Students are not authorized to communicate any information or
deliver any document, which forms a part of a patient’s record
to anyone other than their supervisors.
5. Attendance record will be kept on a day-to-day basis by the
concerned departments.
6. In addition, students are also required to display their Identity
Cards while on duty.
Miscellaneous
1. Students are expected to be familiar with and observe universal
precautions against communicable diseases.
2. Students are not allowed to take up or continue any other
academic courses or training during their training period in this
Institute.
3. Rules and regulations framed by PMTI shall be binding on the
students.
4. General rules of conduct shall be binding on the students.
Changes/Additions to Rules and Regulations
1. These Rules and Regulations may be changed by the Institute at any time without notice and the same shall be communicated to the students.
